Status (see A. Pace's talk for details):

• Native Windows 2000 domain WIN.CERN.CH uses:

  • Active Directory

  • DNS-style namespace

• About 140 systems operational (include 20 servers), i.e. 2,5% of the expected scope.

• Devicing hierarchy of home and project directories (8K users, at least) was challenging.

• Netware port was difficult

• Some applications are not portable/ready.
