Hi Maria, There is also a new bug today, bug #14114, which describes a problem in an older release of voms - but together with bug 13899 is causing alot of problems: Bug 13899 is a problem in a part of the voms client library. The problems affect user clients, like command line tools and also services which might need to use voms like the DPM or LFC. Th bug describes thread safety concerns, which largely restrict the voms client's use in multi threaded services. The bug also describes memory leaks, many of which are new compared to earlier voms versions. Earlier versions of VOMS (eg. 1.5.4) didn't have the threading problem at all, so we were intended to stay with version 1.5.4 for the next release. However we've recently found some problems with the earlier release (which infact are fixed in later releases, see bug 14114) - so until bug 13899 is addressed we don't have any way to produce a stable service which uses the voms client.
