Notes from the 12/3/2007 meeting with CMS on GGUS VO Support

Summary:
--------
 . Kati repeated that the experiment intends to filter via HyperNews and 
savannah the computing problems of CMS users. After this filtering 
Grid-related problems will be entered in GGUS by the CMS computing 
experts.

 . CMS experts need to know who are the individuals behing the GGUS 
Support Units (SUs). Maria showed the relevant links (see appendix).

 . Andrea suggested the cms-grid-support SU be abolished given that GGUS 
problems are not entered by the end-users for the CMS experts but from
the CMS experts for the other grid services.

It is probably much too radical to wipe-out the entire list, given that 
we shouldn't completely exclude the probability for an end-user to open a 
GGUS ticket. We will make Kati an owner of this list to clean-up the members.
Action 1

 . CMS experts would like to have clearer names and descriptions of the 
SUs. Maria will make a suggestion, after making the tour all the 4 LHC VOs 
for approval. 
Action 2

 . Given that the most common problems relate to jobs not running at 
sites, CMS experts should consult the official information sources on site 
availability (GOCdb, SAM) and tools like FCR, gocwiki, GGUS news (links in 
the appendix).
